Amiens defender Nicholas Opoku set to play against Quevilly-Rouen

Nicholas Opoku, who will return from suspension on Saturday for the last league game before the international break after having served his fourth and final game ban in Pau, cost Amiens SC dearly after the team lost its past three Ligue 2 games.

Even though the Ghanaian has not impressed greatly since the beginning of the season, initially giving the impression of being at the physical limit and then too frequently on the offensive in terms of aggression.

There is a direct similarity between his absence and the current dip in form in Philippe Hinschberger's training program.

"We're going to bring him in and I'm not going to say that it will stabilize our defense but he was still part of our start which was airtight at the start, which took fewer goals," said Amiens coach.

"It's not Abdourahmane Barry's trial either, because it's still a collective work, but Nicholas is also a player who has more experience. It's not just him, but when he's not there, we notice that he exudes a certain power, even if he goes beyond that from time to time, and authority. I hope he paid enough to understand and we needed to find one of our team executives,"
