Amos Frimpong influenced my move to Asante Kotoko – Joseph Ablorh

Defender Joseph Ablorh has revealed Amos Frimpong’s role following his move to Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.

The former Hafia FC centre-back penned a two-year deal to join the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2024/25 football campaign.

Speaking to the club’s media, Ablorh disclosed he was convinced by Amos Frimpong, who is a former captain of Kotoko to swerve other clubs to join the Ghanaian outfit.

“I had many offers but I was convinced by a friend (Amos Frimpong) to join Asante Kotoko. I decided to join Kotoko because of him. I wanted to play for Kotoko at the beginning of my career but I didn’t get the chance so I travelled. I think this is the right time for me help Kotoko” he said.

Previously, Ablorh distinguished himself at Hafia FC during the 2020/2021 season, earning recognition for his strong tackling and aerial prowess, which contributed to his inclusion in the Season's Best XI.

Asante Kotoko's decision to bolster their squad with players like Ablorh comes in response to the departure of more than 20 players at the conclusion of the season, aiming to fortify the team ahead of upcoming campaigns.
