Ancelotti in talks with Chelsea to replace Conte

Carlo Ancelotti is in talks to over Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

According to Metro, the Blues have held initial talks with their former manager, who was sacked by Bayern Munich earlier this season.

Ancelotti, who won the Premier League and FA Cup with the west London club, was sacked by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich at the end of the 2010/11 season.

Reports continue to link Antonio Conte with a return to Italy, either with the national team or AC Milan.

The Italian has endured an uneasy relationship with the club's hierarchy and a burning desire to return to his homeland may prove to be much for him to stay in England.

Ancelotti is also being linked with the vacant Italy job.
