Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew has shared that he is hoping to score more crucial goals for his Swansea City side following his impressive performance for the team since the start of the 2019/2020 English Championship season.

The forward has been an inspiration for Steve Cooper's lads and continues to be their livewire in their quest to secure promotion to the English Premier League at the end of the season.

So far, Ayew has scored 10 goals in all competitions and has already provided four assists in all competitions.

In an interview after scoring the only goal for Swansea City in their 1-0 win over Luton Town on Saturday afternoon, Andre Ayew noted that he wants to repay the confidence of his teammates and the fans by scoring more goals.

“The players, staff, and fans have a lot of confidence in me, so the only way I can repay them is by scoring goals, providing assists and giving my best in every game", the former Olympic Marseille man said.

He added, “It was a very important goal. I scored a few important ones in 2015. I need to try to keep getting those goals; that’s why I’m here.

“Scoring 10 goals isn’t bad, but I need to do more. This is just the beginning and I’m not going to get carried away.”
