Andre Ayew has arrived in Turkey to hold talks with Turkish top flight side Fatih Karagümrük over a potential deal.

The Ghana international has been a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest following the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Andre joined Forest midway through last season after leaving Qatari side, Al Sadd, but mutually left the club after making 13 appearances for the side.

However, according to French football outlet FootMercato, the Black Stars skipper is in Istanbul to hold with Karagümrük over a potential deal.

The reports add that nothing is finalized yet between Ayew’s camp and Fatih Karagümrük.

Fatih Karagümrük currently sit 13th on the Super Lig with four points after four games.

Ayew has played in Turkey before after spending the 2018-2019 season with Fenerbache.

Despite not being used in Black Stars final Group E game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the 33-year-old played a minor role in Ghana’s 3-1 win over Liberia in an international friendly game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ayew is well-traveled after having spells with Olympique Marseille, Swansea City and Lorient and has played in three FIFA World Cups for Ghana.
