Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has congratulated former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Daniel Afriyie Barnieh on his move to Swiss club FC Zurich.
FC Zurich announced the signing of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh on Tuesday 3rd January after days of speculations.
“FC ZURICH SIGNED STRIKER DANIEL AFRIYIE.
“The 21-year-old striker Daniel Afriyie is transferring from the Ghanaian first division club Hearts of Oak to FCZ with immediate effect and has signed a contract until the summer of 2026. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transfer.
“FC Zurich warmly welcomes Daniel Afriyie and wishes him every success,” an official statement from FC Zurich said.
In the last three seasons, the youngster has developed his game and is leaving the Ghana Premier League as one of its best players.
Andre Ayew after hearing the news about Daniel Afriyie Barnieh's move to the Swiss club took to his official Instagram page to congratulate the talented midfielder.
"Professional. you deserve my boy. Congratulations" Ayew posted.
