Andre Ayew is the fifth foreign player in Al Sadd alongside Bagdhad Bounedjah (Algeria), Jung Woo-young (South Korea), Santi Cazorla (Spain), and Guilherme Torres (Brazil).

Al-Sadd's latest signing, Ghanaian international Andre Ayew, expressed his joy and pleasure in joining the Qatari club, characterising it as a new challenge in his career.

The former Swansea City player Andre Ayew revealed the role his father, Abedi Pele played in him joining Al-Sadd.

“Certainly, I heard from my father of the wonderful memories he had from his time with Al-Sadd in the past. He told me a lot about the club and Qatar, and he helped me make the right decision to play for Al-Sadd,”

The Black Stars captain also stated that his goal is to make the fans happy and win titles with Al Sadd.

“My goal is to win titles, to make the fans happy, and to strive hard to win the AFC Champions League,”
