Ghana captain, Andre Ayew has disclosed that in the event that he was in the shoes of Luiz Suarez during the clash against Uruguay in 2010, maybe he would have used his hand to stop a goal.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Joy Sports, the Al-Sadd SC forward stressed that just like the Uruguayan hero, he would also do anything for his country.
According to Andre Ayew, although there will always be something against Suarez for denying Ghana the chance to progress to the semi-finals of the world cup, he understands why the striker did what he did.
“Like I said before and I said in the past that maybe if it was me or someone else, I could have done the same on the action,” Andre Ayew shared.
Ghana captain @AyewAndre says he'd probably have done exactly what Luis Suárez did against Ghana in 2010, as the two are set to meet again at this year's World Cup.
