Andre Ayew to arrive in Ghana on Tuesday after Premier League promotion disappointment

Andre Ayew is set to return to Ghana on Tuesday after Premier League promotion collapse.

Swansea City failed to book a Premier League qualification after losing to Brentford in the final playoff at Wembley.

The 31-year-old has been a livewire for the Championship and was hoping to steer the club back to the Premier League.

However, Ayew is expected to team up with his Black Stars teammates for the upcoming friendlies against Ivory Coast and Morocco in June.

The games will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium and at the Rabat Stadium.

The games form part of Black Stars preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Andre Ayew scored 19 goals for Swansea City in all competition. He will be expected to leave Swansea City after failing to secure Premier League football next season.

He will be hoping to steer the senior national team to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] in Cameroon.
