Andy Yiadom: Ghana defender the second-highest assist provider at Reading

Published on: 05 April 2020

Ghanaian international Andy Yiadom is the second-highest assist provider at Reading since joining the club in 2018.

The full-back moved from Barnsley to join the Royals a couple of years ago following successive outstanding seasons that saw him also play for Barnet in the lower division.

In his first season in the English Championship, Andy Yiadom managed to impress and finished the campaign by providing 5 assists.

In the suspended 2019/2020 season, the Black Stars defender has made 24 appearances and has provided 4 assists on top of one goal.

Ranking the players with the most assists since Yiadom joined Reading, he comes in second on the chart with 9 assists in total as English midfielder John Swift leads that pile.

At age 28, the right-back still has a lot to offer and will continue to play a key role when the football season resumes after the war against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is won.
