Former Asante Kotoko Team Manager Alhaji Yaya Jibril is asking for the immediate sacking of Kweku Amponsah from the club
According to Alhaji Yaya, Chairman K5 also known as Kweku Amponsah who is part of the club's National Circle Members should be shown the exit door from the club following his recent comments against the club.
On July 21, Kotoko’s owner and life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II announced the creation of a four-person Interim Management Committee (IMC) made up of Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, the Kontomponiaferehene and chartered accountant, James Kwesi Appiah, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the new head coach, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, the administrative manager.
The exercise was after the Nana Yaw Amponsah-led board was dissolved after the club's poor outing in the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking in an interview with Kesseben TV Mr. Alhaji Haha said "Chairman K5 does not deserve to be a Kotoko supporter, he should be sacked and his membership card should be burnt for saying he and his cohorts will be against the next Kotoko administration."
"He does not know what he is saying. He's a newcomer. I don't know when he joined Kotoko. The circle's leadership should sack him and burn his membership card," he stated.
Asante Kotoko have started pre-season this month at Beposo ahead of the new season.
The Porcupine Warriors will open their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season with a home game against Heart of Lions.
