Angry Asamoah Gyan cautions Kotoko fans

Former Al Ain forward Asamoah Gyan has reacted against Asante Kotoko supporters by advising them not to say his name while traveling abroad.

In the matchday 22 games at the Accra Sports Stadium, the former Liberty Professionals forward was introduced on the 75th minute in Legon Cities' home game against Asante Kotoko.

When Gyan stepped up to take a free kick in the 79th minute, however, he was booed by some Kotoko supporters.

The 35-year-old responded to the incident by making a three-minute video directed at Kotoko fans "in Accra,"

“I have this message for Kotoko fans in Accra. I am a Kotoko fan and I will always remain a Kotoko fan.

"When I came on I was booed by the fans which I understand but I want them to know that I will always be the one and only Asamoah Gyan.

"I want to tell them that when they travel outside of the country and get to the airport they should mention the names of their players,” he said in a video posted on his Instagram.
