Annor Walker lauds impressive Maxwell Abbey Quaye after hat-trick against Accra Lions

Great Olympics head coach, Annor Walker has lauded Maxwell Abbey Quaye following his hattrick against Accra Lions.

The Wonder Club hosted the Ghana Premier League debutant at the Accra Sports Stadium in the matchday 2 games.

Abbey Quaye, who was making his first appearance of the season after missing the opening day draw at Real Tamale United due to malaria, started things off with a brilliant curling effort from 25 yards out, before adding a quick double in the second half.

Great Olympics Head Coach, Annor Walker, was full of praise for his forward after the game.

Speaking after the game, Walker explained the importance of Abbey Quaye to his side and lauded the youngster.

“I am so happy for him. He is a player I love so much and I know what he can do. That is why when you asked why he was out in Tamale.

" I told you he had malaria and I didn’t want to stress him. I gave him the chance today and he has proven that he is one of the best strikers in the country,” he said.

Olympics currently have four points after two games played and occupy third spot – two points behind King Faisal and Asante Kotoko, who are both on six points.

Great Olympics will be hosted by Legon Cities in the matchday 3 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.
