Eintracht Frankfurt battled hard to a 0-0 draw against RB Leipzig and is undefeated heading into the international break. Ansgar Knauff, the right winger, helped his team to earn a point.

In the end, Eintracht Frankfurt was clearly inferior in almost all statistics in the away game at RB Leipzig, but Ansgar Knauff explained after the game on DAZN : “In the end it will be a running game, there was a lot of back and forth. In the end we were good defended threw everything in. We took a point, which is fine throughout the game.

Coach Oliver Glasner's team sometimes disappointed, especially on the offensive: "We actually implemented our plan well from the start in the first few minutes. We played quickly into the deep, had two or three good counterattack situations that we have to play more clearly, to take the lead. It was a bit unfortunate for us up front." Defensively, it was a strenuous game, according to the 20-year-old, the transition situations were "too hectic. We should have played more ball possession." The Frankfurters still take a point with them.

On 20 January 2022, Knauff joined Eintracht Frankfurt on an eighteen-month loan deal. He has played four games and scored one goal this season.
