Ansgar Knauff trained well ahead of Wolfsburg game - Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller

Ansgar Knauff has worked his way up after being left out of Eintracht Frankfurt's team against VfL Bochum almost two weeks ago for sporting reasons.

He has even pushed himself back within the reach of the starting eleven, which he was already part of on matchday 2.

At a news conference on Thursday, head coach Dino Toppmöller addressed the situation surrounding the 21-year-old winger.

“Ansgar is doing very well. After he wasn't in the squad for the game against Bochum, his reaction was great. He trained very well after that and I really liked it in both games in which he came in," he said.

"I told him that again today personally said to the place. He trained well this week too and is definitely a candidate for the starting eleven," he added.

Eintracht Frankfurt will play Wolfsburg tomorrow at the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA.

Eintracht Frankfurt is 8th on the league table with seven points after five games.
