Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is expected to end specualtion linking him with a move to the Chinese Super League by signing a new one-year-deal with the Bavarians.

The 32-year-old has just five months remaining on his current Bayern deal and has remained coy on what his plans for next season are. Robben refused to rule out a move to China when quizzed on the subject earlier this month, although he did also appear to indicate that he would prefer to remain with the current Bundesliga champions for another year.

He said (as quoted byFour Four Two):"Everyone has to personally assess this. You must never say that this (China) is not an option. But also do not say that you want to go.

"I am now at Bayern. Of course, I plan a little, I talk to my wife. I am now at the top level. You must see what comes next.

"The extension of the contract is not yet an issue. I'm concentrating on the next six months and I want to win the championship.

"I have no deadline, if it comes it comes. I only concentrate on football. I still have a contract, after that I'll stay another year, maybe another year (after that)."

And in light of those comments, reports coming from German media outletSport 1, suggest that the Dutchman will sign a new one-year-deal with Bayern in the coming days.

Robben is expected to reach an agreement with club officials after holding positive talks over the last few weeks and though he has stated he wants to take his career one season at a time, it looks like he will extend his stay in Bavaria for at least another year.
