Arnautovic dismisses move talk

Published on: 23 November 2018

Marko Arnautovic has distanced himself from comments his brother and agent said recently regarding his desire to leave West Ham United.

Daniel Arnautovic said during the international break that the Austria international, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, was keen to play for a top team and was "ready for the next step".

However, the Hammers star said on Instagram "To all the fans don't put bad energy into comments. Nothing is true from the newspapers its not always good to believe what u read."

Meanwhile, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has also insisted that Arnautovic is happy and is not seeking a move.

Before this week's game against Manchester City, a club the Chilean managed between 2013 and 2016, Pellegrini said: "I know Marko. I know the way he thinks.

"I think that every player in every team must have an ambitious mind and want to continue improving his career. But I am sure he is happy here and the best way to (show) it is to continue having good performances."

Arnautovic, who moved to West Ham from Stoke City in July 2017, is 3/1 to score at any time against Manchester City, while a draw in the match can be backed at 11/2. Pellegrini's team are 12/1 to score a penalty in the encounter.
