Fresh reports have indicated that Arsenal have agreed an approximate 20 million pound transfer of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa.
Reports have indicated that Arsenal will use the money gained to try and sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
The 27-year-old rejected a new deal from the Spanish club and has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal for months. Reports have also stated that he has agreed personal terms with the Gunners.
His release clause stands at 50 million euros and Atletico Madrid have been adamant on the fee. It is believed that the sale of Martinez will help Arsenal accumulate the fee to sign Partey.
The former Almeria loanee made over 40 appearances for Los Rojiblancos last season.
