Arsenal aim to sign Partey with multiple player sales

Arsenal are looking to sign Thomas Partey and another player if they are able to sell about six players, according to the express.

Partey has a 50 million euro clause in his contract, a fee considered cheap comparing the quality of the player.

Arsenal however are struggling due to the coronavirus outbreak and may have to let go of three defenders, two midfielders and a striker to begin spending again.

It is believed that Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Sead Kolasinac could be the ones to make way.

In midfield, Mohamed Elneny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan who are both on loan will probably be the players to be shipped off.

In attack, Arsenal may have to part ways with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The striker is yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners and with 18 months left on his contract, the club may look to sell quickly and recoup an amount.

If all these sales happen, Arsenal would receive around £158.87m, a figure more than enough to cater for Partey's fee and other signings.

Partey has made 38 appearances for Atletico Madrid in all competitions this season.
