Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger wasunsurprisingly withdrawn when questioned by reporters about his future.

The 67-year-old's contract is set to expire this summer, and as of yet there is no talk of the Gunners boss signing a new deal.

According to theSport Review, when questioned before Tuesday's 2-1 lossagainst Everton, the Frenchman gave little away.

My head and my heart tells me not to talk about that," he responded, when confronted with questions about his future.

We are all focused on targets that are of course this season. We don't have time or energy to think about the rest. I've told you many times that I want to do as well as I can for this club for as long as I'm here.

Those comments could imply that Wenger only has plans in place for this season, but the Premier League's longest serving manager has been coy before regarding his future and ultimately signed a new deal.

Wenger has been Arsenal manager for twenty years, winning three league titles and the FA Cup on six occasions. However, the Gunners have not wonthe Premier Leaguesince 2004 and a small selection of fans have voiced their opinion that it is time for Wenger to go.

Yet the Arsenal boss will have to forget about his future plans for now and focus onhis side's trip to Manchester City this weekend.

Wenger and the Arsenal squad will be hoping they can bounce back quickly from their surprise 2-1 defeat to Everton on Tuesday night.

The Gunners could be nine points off the league summit by then if London rivals Chelsea can beat Sunderland and Crystal Palace on Wednesday and Saturday respectively.
