Arsenal challenge Chelsea for unhappy Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata

Arsenal have joined the scramble for unhappy Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

The Sun says Morata is looking to leave the Bernabeu this summer after failing to establish himself as Zinedine Zidane's first-choice centre-forward.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is leading the chase for Morata, who is expected to cost £50million.

But Arsene Wenger is also keen on a club record deal for Morata as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

The Arsenal chief first tried to sign the Spanish star in 2014 before he paid £33m to buy Sanchez from Barcelona.

But Morata opted for a £17m move to Juventus.
