Arsenal Issue Positive Update on Hector Bellerin's Status Following Collision During Chelsea Loss

Arsenal have put out an update on the status of Spanish right-back Hector Bellerin, following his substitution due to a collision during their 3-1 loss to Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Bellerin clashed with compatriot Marcos Alonso in attempts to stop the left-back from putting the Blues ahead, but came off second best, and was not able to continue the match as his head made contact with Alonso's arm while they both were in the air.

The Gunners have revealed, via their official website, that the player is still going through the FA's 'return to play' protocol, but has passed all of the stages so far.

"He will be further assessed on Thursday and Friday before a decision can be made on his physical state ahead of the team's match against Hull City.

The statement on their website reads: "Our Spanish right back is now in the final stages of the FA return to play protocol for concussion. He has had daily assessments and successfully completed each step of the graded progression so far.

"Hector will be further assessed on Thursday and Friday, prior to a final decision being made regarding his availability for full training and Saturday's home match against Hull City."
