Arsenal Join Rival Clubs in Chasing Marseille Prodigy Boubacar Kamara

Published on: 26 November 2016

Boubacar Kamara is emerging as one of the brightest young talents in France and Arsenal managerArsene Wenger, who has a historyof picking up teenage sensationfrom his native country, is the latest to be named as an interested party.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain have all previously been linked to the 17-year-old central defender and now Arsenal have been added to that list, according toThe Sun.

It is thought that the under 18 French international is keen on a move to the Premier League and the interest of Arsene Wenger will surely sound tempting considering the manager's previous handling of similar players; Thierry Henry, Samir Nasri et al.

Kamara is still on a youth contract at the Stade Velodrome, meaning he can say a professional deal with any other club without costing an arm and a leg. With Per Mertesacker's days numbered, an up-and-coming centre back would not go amiss at the Emirates Stadium, to cover for Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi.
