Arsenal Keen to Bring in 'Unhappy' Real Madrid Star After He Fails to Cement First Team Place

Arsenal are reportedly keen to reignite their interest in Real Madrid playmaker Isco following news that the player remains unhappy with a lack of football under coach Zinedine Zidane.

The 24-year-old has struggled to implement himself in the former Madrid great's starting XI this campaign, making just 12 appearance for Los Blancos so far in La Liga, and is looking for a new challenge should this carry on.

And according to theMirror, the Spanish international is being chased by Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal, who are continuing their chase to sign the midfielder following several failed attempts in past transfer windows.

Despite the player's lack of involvement in the starting match-day squads, further reports have suggested that the club are increasingly aware of Isco's worries, and are keen to offer him a new deal, with his current contract keeping him at the Bernabeu until 2018.

However, Spanish sources have indicated that instead of this being a sign that the club believe he has a long term future with the European giants, it is merely just to maintain their strength in depth in their midfield options, with a number of key players picking up injuries at the beginning of the season, such as Gareth Bale and Luka Modric.

If Isco were to make a move away from the Spanish capital -either in the January or the summer window - it would be to a Champions League side, meaning the Gunners would face stiff competition from a number of the tournament's heavyweights.
