Arsenal keeper Petr Cech: I understand fans\' frustration

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech says he understands the fans' frustrations after back-to-back thumpings by Manchester City.

The Gunners players were booed off by fans after Thursday's defeat at the Emirates.

Cech said: “I understand the fans' frustration.

“You come and you want your team to do well, and when you are 3-0 down at half-time then you are not happy.

“Everybody has an opportunity to make their feelings known.

“For football fans this is their way of showing this. In the second half we improved but the damage was done in the first half.

“With the conditions, unfortunately so many people could not turn up to the stadium.

“It is unfortunate people miss out on a big game. But that is something we cannot control."

The Frenchman is adamant he will not walk away, but another defeat at Brighton on Sunday will pile the pressure on the Gunners top brass to take action.

Cech added: “It was tough, we wanted to start in a positive way but the difference was the confidence of the two teams and the brilliance of the individuals on their side.

“They took their chances and got three goals. They are flying high and you can see that."
