Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed Thomas Partey has been ‘in and out’ of training this week.

The Ghanaian midfielder made an injury return in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Norwich City last Saturday in the Premier League after missing a couple of games due to an injury he sustained during pre-season against Chelsea.

The midfielder appeared as a second half substitute in the 1-0 win at the Emirate Stadium to end the run of three games without a win in the league.

Speaking ahead of their clash with Burley, Mikel Arteta said Partey has been in and out of training as his load had to be managed because he was in the early stages of the injury.

"Everybody trained well this week. Granit [Xhaka] is suspended but the rest will be fine. Thomas [Partey] has been training in and out this week, as his load had to be managed because he was in the early stages of the injury.

"But he is pushing everybody as he always does. He wants to be involved so we'll will make the decision that is best for him."
