Arsenal manager Wenger escapes punishment for Sterling dive comments

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will not be punished by the Football Association for saying Raheem Sterling 'dives well'.

The Manchester City winger was awarded a penalty after colliding with Nacho Monreal in the Sky Blues 3-1 win over the Gunners.

In a post-match interview with the BBC, Wenger said: "I believe it was no penalty.

"We know that Sterling dives well, and he does that [win the penalty] very well."

Wenger also added: "You can accept it if City win in a normal way, they are a good side, but the way it happened is unacceptable."

Wenger's comments could have landed him in hot water with the authorities, but they have deemed his comments not to be outside the boundary.
