Ghana international, Thomas Partey was missing in action on Wednesday night when Arsenal locked horns with Manchester City in the English Premier League.

In a crucial encounter in the race for the English Premier League title, the Gunners hoped to have their star midfielder in the game.

Unfortunately, an injury that has affected the player meant that he had to watch from afar.

In the Round 22 game played at the Emirates Stadium, Manchester City had less of the ball possession but still managed to cruise past Arsenal with a 3-1 win.

Star midfielder Kelvin De Bruyne opened the scoring for the visitors in the 24th minute. Before the break, however, youngster Bukayo Saka converted a penalty kick to restore parity for the home team.

In the second half, a clinical showing from Manchester City saw the defending champions scoring twice through Jack Grealish and unstoppable striker Erling Haaland.

With no goal from Arsenal, Manchester City earned all three points thanks to a 3-1 win at full-time.

Arsenal will now be hoping to have Thomas Partey back on his feet as soon as possible to continue the fight for the English Premier League title.
