Arsenal ponder THIRD bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani

Published on: 07 August 2017

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in the market for a new centre-half this month.

With Per Mertesacker retiring at the end of the season - and Calum Chambers set to depart - a centre-back may arrive at the Emirates this month.

TMW says Wenger has failed with two offers for young Juventus defender Daniele Rugani this summer.

Arsenal have seen two bids rejected by Juventus for defender Rugani.

The Gunners are keen to sign the 23-year-old, who has made 41 appearances for the Serie A champions since arriving from Empoli in 2015.

It is said they remain determined to snap him up but Juventus are likely to reject any more approaches.
