Arsenal star Alexis could go SIX years without a summer break

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is facing the prospect of playing football without a summer break for six consecutive years.

The Chilean has represented his national team in various international tournaments for every summer since 2014, and it appears that this trend will continue into the future.

Stats show that the Chilean, who is currently participating in Confederations Cup, will not get a summer break until 2020 if his nation qualifies for the next year's World Cup.

The 28-year-old converted his penalty kick in the penalty shootout win over Portugal in the semi-final of Confederations Cup on Wednesday.

La Roja will play either of Germany or Mexico in the final on Sunday.
