Arsenal winger Oxlade-Chamberlain wings Player of Month award: I need to win every month

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has won club's Player of the Month award for the month of April.

The England international has excelled in his new wing-back position following a switch to the back-three formation by manager Arsene Wenger.

The 23-year-old, who provided valuable assists in the wins over West Ham and City, says that he needs to win these awards on a monthly basis.

"It's always nice when people recognise your form or if they're supportive of how you're doing, especially if you're feeling good and you feel like you're playing well," Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal Player.

"It's always nice when the fans show support and recognition of that. It is a boost and when you win one award, you want to win it again. I know this might only be Vitality Player of the Month, but it gives you a boost and makes you think, 'I need to win this in May now, I need to get every month'."
