Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, claims his side's fluency returned in patches during their 3-1 win over Bournemouth which ended his team'srun of four consecutive draws.

A brace from top scorer Alexis Sanchez, along with a Theo Walcott header, sealed the Gunners' first win in the league for over a month and means they remain only three points behind league leaders Chelsea.

Whilst Arsenal have now gone 19 matches unbeaten in all competitions, they have been criticised for some indifferent performances of late, which hasseen them drop points both domestically and in the Champions League.

Speaking after the win over Bournemouth, the Gunner's boss felt that whilst his side may be regaining some form, they were still suffering from their dip in form.

When asked whether his side had rediscovered their fluency,Wenger toldSky Sports:"In patches, it's always a different game after Champions League, mentally it's so demanding. The players questioned themselves after a few draws.

"We got better during the game but Bournemouth played well. They started with high intensity physically and when I saw that I thought they would drop a little bit in the second half.

"After that we were a bit unlucky because I think there was a second penalty on Sanchez and the penalty for them is another questionable one. After that, we had to improve our level in the second half and we did."

Inevitably the Arsenal boss was thenasked for his thoughts on Jack Wilshere. The midfielder is currently being loaned out by the Gunners to the Cherries, but wasineligible to play against his parent club for the match at the Emirates.

Wenger admitted he remains confident that the 24-year-old will benefit from the loan spell and offered some glowing praise towards Eddie Howe's Bournemouth team.

The Frenchmanadded:"(Wilshere is)In very safe hands, because I feel they are a team who can have as much possession as the top teams and play well as well, and that's what they did today. They are a top side.

"I never forget when they came up from the Championship they scored over 100 goals and that's never a coincidence, that means the quality is in the side.

"I saw him before the game and he told me he'd come in after the game."
