After the recent festive fixture crunch, the Gunners go into the FA Cup break sat in fifth place; eight points behind leaders Chelsea but just three behind Liverpool, who currently occupy second place ahead of Tottenham and Manchester City.

Wenger's side have been far from shambolic, but consecutive defeats to Everton and City in December shook their title hopes, while Tuesday's 3-3 draw with Bournemouth saw them miss out on the chance to gain ground on Chelsea.
