Serie A side AS Roma have cooled their interest in Ghana and Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong, according to a report.

Frimpong is contracted at Celtic Park until 2023 after signing a £1m deal but Manchester City inserted a 30 per cent sell on when he departed.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed the 19-year-old was on Paulo Fonseca’s radar as the Italians were set to weigh up a move in January.

However, according to the Daily Record, Serie A side have no interest in signing the full-back, nor do they have the required funds to pursue a deal.
This will come as huge boost to Neil Lennon's side as they would not be looking to part ways with Frimpong midway through the season, especially with Hatem Abd Elhamed set to leave this winter.
