AS ROMA SEASON TICKETS: RECORD-SETTING RESPONSE FROM FANS

Published on: 18 July 2022

Over 36,000 season tickets have been sold for the upcoming 2022-23 Serie A campaign at the Stadio Olimpico.

The club has surpassed 30,000 season ticket holders for the first time since the 2004-05 season, meaning more than 50% of the Olimpico will be occupied by regular attendees when the players get back down to business next month. The sales phase for season tickets ended on Friday, as the impressive final numbers were officially confirmed.

Buoyed by some magical games at the Olimpico last season - most notably in the UEFA Europa Conference League - and a revamped matchday experience, fans have responded with more enthusiasm than ever as Jose Mourinho's group gear up for the new campaign.

"We can still all remember those most recent few nights at the Stadio Olimpico, nights where we all experienced the magic of supporting Roma," said Pietro Berardi, the club's Chief Executive Officer. "Inside the club none of us can wait to get started again: to experience that amazing atmosphere again, to feel the passion that our fans bring to each and every home game. That is also why we are working tirelessly to ensure we are offering those fans an ever-improved and more tailored matchday service. To know that next season 50% of the stadium will be filled by people who have chosen to make a season-long commitment is something we are proud of - and something that continues to motivate us."

In the end, 93% of existing season ticket holders decided to renew their tickets for the new campaign - while 40% of those who purchased season tickets opted for the extra options and incentives provided by the brand-new 'Plus' plan.

That percentage - 40% - is also the number of season ticket holders under the age of 25 the club now has; underlining the passion for the club the new generation are bringing.

SEASON START JUST A MONTH AWAY

The club's first home game of the campaign is scheduled for Monday 22 August, with Cremonese the visitors at 18:30 CEST.

Fans can purchase individual tickets for that match, along with the subsequent home game against Monza, now.
