Former Asante Kotoko defender Richard Osei Agyemang has defended his move to India after completing transfer to Real Kashmir FC.

Osei Agyemang ended his ten-year stay in the Ghana Premier League after completing a move to the Indian outfit Real Kashmir FC this window.

The former Ashantigold captain penned one-year deal with his new outfit and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

“The Indian league is not easy, there are a lot of players here who are struggling to get a team. So the league is not as cheap as purported to be. I wouldn’t advise any player who wish to move to India not to come” he told Wontumi FM monitored by Footballghana.com.

“During my time with Berekum Chelsea, I had a call up to the Black Meteors and Asamoah Gyan advised us to move whenever there is a huge offer no matter the country because there is life after football. Gyan’s advise has been on my mind since and it is the reason why I decided to move to India”

“Real Kashmir was promoted to the Indian league in 2016, Kotoko and Ashantigold are bigger than the team but trust me, Kashmir FC can boast of a lot of things both Kotoko and Ashantigold don’t have”

“I don’t know a player who is bigger than Asamoah Gyan but he took a decision to move to India, how much more we the young ones. Now, Gyan is living good”
