Asamoah Gyan happy with UAE League Cup triumph

Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan has expressed delight with his club side Al Ahli triumph in the UAE League Cup.

Ahli defeated Al Shabab 2-0 to clinch this year's Arabian Gulf Cup on Saturday.

Gyan who is on loan from Chinese side Shangai SIPG was a second half substitute.

He was introduced in the 72nd minute after replacing Ahmed Khalil when Ahli were up by a goal.

"Really excited for this one, we are doing something great at the this club and i am happy to be part of it," he said

"This is my second trophy since joining the side and what more can i say, i am delighted."

In September last year, Gyan made a cameo for Al Ahli when they beat Al Jazira 2-1 to win the UAE Super Cup.
