Asamoah Gyan is better than current Black Stars strikers - Dan Kweku Yeboah

Former Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan has received support from Ghanaian sports journalist, Dan Kweku Yeboah in his bid to represent his country at the Qatar World Cup in 2022.

Gyan is clearly nearing the end of his career, but his recent comments about a potential comeback to the Black Stars have thrown him back into the limelight.

Gyan in an interview with the BBC said he is keen on playing for the Black Stars at the World Cup in Qatar.

Yeboah reacting to Gyan's comeback asserted that the former Sunderland striker is superior to the team's current strikers.

The only other striker ahead of Gyan, according to Dan Kwaku Yeboah of Peace FM, is Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao.

"The truth is that, with our current strikers, Asamoah Gyan is better than them but if Inaki Williams is available, no coach will play Asamoah," Dan Kwaku Yeboah stated.

"It is not that he is better than Asamoah but he is active and he is a very good player. But for Felix Gyan and the likes, he is better than all of them. But Williams is good," he added.

Since participating in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt, the 36-year-old has not made an appearance for the Black Stars.
