Legon Cities FC head coach, Bashir Hayford has noted that veteran forward Asamoah Gyan will be key for his team when they face off with Asante Kotoko on Friday evening.
The Royals are set for a tough encounter later this evening at the Accra Sports Sports Stadium in what will be a Matchday five encounter in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Still, without a win in the new football season, both Legon Cities FC and Asante Kotoko will want to come out of today's fixture victorious.
Ahead of the meeting, Coach Bashir Hayford has hammered on how key Asamoah Gyan will be for his team in their quest to pick up the maximum points.
“Asamoah Gyan is in the squad tonight. He will be very important for us. He will be ready when we need him whether he start or not. His experience will be key for us tonight.
"He is a proven goal scorer wherever he has been. Soon, he will regain his sharpness and he will be a problem for defenders in the league," the experienced tactician told Legon Cities TV.
The match between Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities FC will kick-off at 18:00GMT.
