Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of defender Yahaya Dawuni in the ongoing transfer window.
The highly-rated defender joins the Porcupine Warriors from Division One League side, Susubiribi.
Despite failing to reveal contract details, it is said the defender penned a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2026.
“We’re delighted to announce the signing of Yahaya Dawuni from Susubiribi SC. YAHAYA IS A WARRIOR” the club wrote on twitter.
Yahaya Dawuni becomes the first signing of the Kumasi-based who are in the market for quality players that can compete in the upcoming campaign.
He is expected to play a huge role for the two-time Champions League winners next season.
The talented defender was a target for several clubs in the Ghanaian top-flight but opted to join the record Premier League holders.
Kotoko endured a torrid campaign last-term, finishing 4th position at the end of the 2022/23 league season.
