Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo credits Prosper Narteh’s halftime pep talk for comeback win over Legon Cities

Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo has credited Prosper Narteh Ogum for their triumph over Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League week 12.

Ogum, a CAF instructor, has been absent for the for the Porcupine Warriors in their last two games due to his involvement in the License B coaching course.

In his absence, Ocloo has led the Porcupine Warriors to two consecutive victories of the season, building on the positive result from the previous week against Medeama at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Royals threw their lead away as Kotoko came from behind to secure victory at the WAFA Park in Sogakope on Saturday.

Legon Cities took the lead with Nasiru Moro's splendid free-kick finding the net in the 27th minute.

But the Porcupine Warriors stage a comeback to secure a 3-1 away win over their opponent. The equalizer came in the 67th minute courtesy of an own goal from Mohammed Suleman.

Subsequently, Stephen Mukwala extended the lead for the away side in the 75th minute, and Isaac Oppong sealed the victory late in injury time.

After the game, Ocloo credited Ogum’s halftime pep talk for win against Legon Cities.

“It was a difficult goal to take but I told my players to get going and they did that to ensure we win. I dedicate this win to our boss, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, he’s being a marvelous boss so far. I thank him for this opportunity and will thank him also for the pep talk during recess, it has been a wonderful pep talk because it really inspired the players” he told StarTimes.

Asante Kotoko have moved to the 8th position on the league table with 16 points after this win.
