Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo is hoping his outfit win against Medeama will be a turning point in tumultuous campaign so far this season.

The Porcupine Warriors has been in dismal form in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign. Before locking horns with Medeama, the Ghanaian giants had suffered three consecutive defeats in the domestic top-flight.

But on Sunday, Kotoko ensured they are back to winning ways after beating Medeama 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net in thrilling encounter.

The record Ghana Premier League holders broke the deadlock in the 60th minute mark through Sheriff Mohammed, who converted from the spot.

And with no additional goal, the Ghanaian giants cruised to victory to merit the three maximum points at stake.

Asked if it’s the turning point of Kotoko, Ocloo said, “Yes, congratulations to them, this should be the turning point”

Kotoko are now out of the relegation zone following their triumph over the defending champions.

With 13 points, the Porcupine Warriors are 12th on the Ghana Premier League with 13 points
