First Vice Chairman of Asante Kotoko’s National Circles Council, Nana Kwame Dankwah, has expressed optimism they can still defend their Ghana Premier League title.
The Porcupine Warriors have been struggling in the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign.
After 26 games played, the Reds sit 5th on the league log with 39 points. The poor run of results led to the sacking of Seydou Zerbo who replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum at the start of the season.
Kotoko, however, suffered a 3-0 defeat against Berekum Chelsea last weekend at the Golden City Park.
However, according to Nana Kwame Dankwah, Kotoko remain the best team in the topflight and will defend the Premier League title.
"Asante Kotoko is the best team in the league and we believe in them," he told Accra-based Original FM.
Asante Kotoko will hope to return to winning ways when they host league leaders, Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the matchday 27 games.
