Asante Kotoko close to signing Berekum Chelsea defender Henry Ansu

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are close to signing Berekum Chelsea defender Henry Kwame Ansu in the ongoing transfer window.

The Porcupine Warriors are in the market for solid and quality players as they seek to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

The Ghana Premier League giants intends to make a huge impact in the 2023/24 season after disappointing campaign last-term. Kotoko ended the season in 4th position, failing to defend the title.

Kotoko are taking the necessary steps to make the team strong as they seek to make impact next season. However, the club are believed to have identified and settled on Henry Ansu as the perfect player to solidified the defense of the club.

Henry Ansu, who has been an integral part of Berekum Chelsea's defense for the past two years, has caught the attention of Prosper Narteh Ogum and has set sighted to capture him for the new season.

According to reports, both clubs have reached an agreement for the transfer of the dependable defender. Ansu will now have to agree on terms with the Ghanaian giants before he will put pen to paper.

He is expected to sign a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2026.
