Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh says he will not turn down the opportunity to coach Black Stars in the future.

The 44-year-old was linked with the Ghana job before Otto Addo was confirmed as the new head coach for the final play-offs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.

Addo previously worked as a scout for the Black Stars in 2013 prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

"I mean it’s a national call and when the day comes and I’m available, I think once it’s national duty, we will all rise up to the call.” Prosper Narteh told StarTimes in a post-match interview after Kotoko defeated Accra Lions 3-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars will take on the Super Eagles at the Cape Coast stadium on March 24 before travelling to Nigeria for the 2nd leg at the Abuja Sports stadium on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
