The Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko, has defended under fire head coach, Seydou Zerbo.
He believes bad officiating has hindered how well the club would have placed in the league and went on to count a number of games that they could have won points and be in a better position than they are now.
The Ghana Premier League defending champions have been at the center of a lot of controversial refereeing decisions this season, with some officials getting bans for decisions involving their games.
"We have several issues with officiating. As we talk, some referees have been banned because of some decisions they have taken against Asante Kotaku," he told Oyerepa FM.
"If you look at the points difference between us and the top team, it is seven points against our team. We conceded a clear offside goal at RTU. At half time, a lot of things went behind the scenes.
"These are some of the things the coach has suffered in the Ghana Premier league.
"Against Dreams FC, a player was fouled inside the box and the referee decided not to award a penalty. Nobody has the confidence to even go into the box again. A wrong penalty was given against us at Karela."
