Asante Kotoko are eyeing a move for former Aduana Stars striker Derrick Sasraku ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to reports in the local media, the Porcupine Warriors are locked in negotiations with Sasraku over a possible switch to the club despite the club boosting five strikers namely, Kwame Opoku, Naby Keita, Richard Arthur, Songne Yacouba and William Opoku Mensah.

He is currently club-less after mutually parting ways with Tunisian club Club Africain last month after joining them in 2018 from Aduana Stars, where he scored 10 goals in 23 matches to help them clinch the Ghana Premier League title.

During his stay at Club Africain, he made 20 appearances and scored three goals for the club.

He has been linked with a move to several clubs including arch-rivals Hearts of Oak who want to beef up their squad for the 2019/20 campaign and Legon Cities.

Asante Kotoko are 3rd on the league table with 24 points after 13 matches thus far.

The Reds will welcome Elmina Sharks to the Accra Sports stadium in match week 14 of the on-going Ghana Premier League.
