Asante Kotoko forward Steven Desse Mukwala expresses delight after win over Hearts of Oak

Asante Kotoko forward Steven Desse Mukwala has expressed his excitement after helping his outfit to defeat Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash On Sunday.

In a highly competitive game, the two most glamourous clubs in the country locked horns at the Baba Yara Stadium in the week 14 of the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko, who were playing away to Hearts of Oak prevailed in the much-anticipated encounter.

Hearts of Oak shot into the lead through Linda Mtange but Isaac Oppong pulled parity before the halftime break.

Putting up a stellar performance, Uganda forward Steven Mukwala bagged a brace in the second half to seal victory for Kotoko. Martin Karikari reduced the deficit in the final minute for the Phobians.

"It's really amazing, I'm speechless as you see, scoring in a derby is a great feeling. A derby is a derby and it's does matter how you score but a win is a win as well," he said after the game.

"I was looking for more, but you know a derby, you don't have to score much goals, you just have to get the three points and make the fans happy," he added.
