Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has received a late call-up from coach Otto Addo for the 2022 Kirin Cup tournament in Japan.

Danlad Ibrahim of Asante Kotoko has been called up to replace Richard Ofori for the four-nation tournament in Japan later this month. The tournament will serve as a pre-World Cup friendly for Ghana.

According to a GFA statement, Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been ruled out of the Black Stars squad due to a hamstring injury sustained during training.

Danlad Ibrahim has been outstanding for Asante Kotoko this season keeping a number of clean sheets and helping the Porcupine Warriors win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

Ghana will compete in a four-nation tournament alongside Chile, Japan, and Tunisia from June 10th to 14th, 2022, as part of the preparations for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
