Asante Kotoko has done more than enough for me – Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghana international James Kwesi Appiah has praised Asante Kotoko for impacting his life positively.

The 62-year-old almost spent his playing career with the record Ghana Premier League holders, winning seven league titles, two FA Cups and the CAF Champions League.

After calling it a quit, Kwesi Appiah ventured into coaching, with Kotoko giving him his first platform to serve as an assistant coach of the club.

In an interview with KINGSTVGH, the former Ghana trainer attributed his success story to the Porcupine Warriors.

“For me, Kotoko have done more than enough for me. I am who I am because of the club, I played and started my coaching from Kotoko”

“It will be difficult for me to demand money from Kotoko before working for them but when we get to the river, we will cross it” he added.

Kwesi Appiah has been without a club since leaving Kenpong Soccer Academy earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will return to action this weekend when they host Premier League leaders, Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium in the matchday 27 games.
